I was searching the web today while working on some artwork and i stumbled across two very amazing artists. (Top) The work shown above is that of Sean Freeman and I love how he mixes ink with photography. It is so smooth and so full of motion. (Below) The work to the bottom is that of photographer Soon Tong. His work with costume, motion, and water amaze me in so many ways. I would love to have an original piece by either of the two for my room. This is a start of inspiration for my work to come this year.

2010: The Year of Evolution

2009 was by far not the best year for me. It started off with me being on probation and that caused me to drop or have to miss classes. My iPod Touch was stolen by a friend or acquaintance one of my old roommates who is a bitch and cares only about herself. Then the summer was good....until I found out that VCU changed their policy on loans making me have to move home with my dad. Now I live in DE with my dad, his gf, and her three kids. My resolutions are to not make excuses, be more confident in everything I do, and to evolve my artistic ability. I have been getting more in touch with art ever since I met Jack and Corey last year in VCU. They have been getting their names out and they are amazing at what they do. I want people to know my work and to be inspired by it because I have been influenced and inspired by many other people. 2010 I want to evolve into the artist I know I should be by now and i have always wanted to do major collaborations with other artists. I have a good amount of goals this year and i want to achieve them all. 2010 here I am.

Christmas time is comin up and i am thinking i wanna bunch of huge canvases for christmas...a million bucks would be nice too...but i really want canvases or an Amazon.com gift card. I am gonna visit my mom and best bud Donald on Christmas night and i may bring my TV and we can watch lots and lots of Blu-Rays that i hopefully get for Christmas. I really need to add some movies to my collection like The Hangover, Star Trek, Wolverine, even though i didn't see it i want Inglorious Bastards, Up, Heroes season 3, and I WANT ALL THE SEASONS OF THE OFFICE. I hope that everyone gets some kind of snow also. Holidays YAY!!!

Look at these fools! Gotta love em though. These two cats i met around the same time. I met Corey at TROSMO(Tropical Smoothie) and Jack when i was trying to help him surpass VCU's ridic bullshit against amazing artists. They both have been trying to get their art thang going, Jack with painting and Corey with music, and they both are amazing at their crafts. I have been in an artistic slump ever since VCU screwed me over but I saw how these two keep growing and evolving in their craft and it inspired me to pick up a pencil and get my creative juices flowin again. I thank them bth for the push whether or not they know they helped. Hopefully we can all come together again one day and do a massive artistic collabo. Angela Gulati. WOW. I have known this chick since freshman year. Spring 07 to be exact. We have been on some crazy adventures like the entire summer after my freshman year and every semi-formal i have gone to. She has saved me from days of boredom to nights at 1110 Grove when I needed a get away. She is one of best friends to and she is in Italy for this semester. She gets back in EIGHT(8) days and then when i skype her it won't be at different times. We are in need of a lil Mexico hang out and a trip to a bar when I am in Richmond for New Years. Can't Wait. This pic sums up our relationship...we are awkward haha.

I was going through my Christmas pics b/c its that time of year and I thought why don't I blog about my old life before i start with the new life. My homie Leilani has been working so hard these past 4 years at VCU and now she is getting all grown up. This will be her last spring semester at VCU and has grown a lot in her field of work, Fashion Merchandising. I remember when she used to hate everything about the program but as she embraced it she grew and it seems to be a true calling for her. She rocks at what she does and if anyone give her lip about they can see me. HAHA. But seriuously she is one of my best friends and i couldn't ask for a crazier, fun, and....loud best friend.

Hey people! I wanted to have a blog for a long time but it didn't seem right to have something about me without something to represent me. I finally came up with a logo today and i love it. Its two simple images that come together and form an O (for Otis of course). So everyone follow my blog and i should have interesting thing about my life to talk about.
